Is Arthritis the Cause of Your Hand Pain?

arthritis-hand-painArthritis is a major cause of hand pain for many individuals. It can cause chronic inflammation, pain, swelling, and decreased mobility in the hand joints that are affected; the most commonly affected ones are the middle finger joints, end of the finger joints, and the joint at the base of the thumbs. When arthritis affects the hands, a person can lose the ability to do many things as well as to get a good grip when holding objects. It can even make it impossible to open a jar or tighten a lid.

If Arthritis affects your hands, there are things you can do to decrease the pain and prevent total cartilage deterioration. You can perform regular hand exercises and stretches, eat foods that decrease inflammation, invest in gadgets that can take some of the pressure off of your hands, massage your muscles, etc. Another thing you can do is find a topical pain reliever that can ease the nagging pain of arthritis. Real Time Pain Relief has helped thousands of people reduce their Arthritis hand pain. This lotion contains Arnica, Menthol, Aloe Vera, Emu Oil, Willow Bark, and many more natural ingredients known to reduce pain. How Does Menthol Work to Relieve Your Pain?

menthol-relieves-painSuffering from pain? Did you know that menthol is one of Nature’s Natural Ingredients that can provide relief? Numerous studies have validated this information. In fact, one study discovered that menthol is so effective that it relieves pain by 95%. Menthol’s analgesic properties come from the ligands that absorb into the skin and activate k-opioid receptors, producing a numbing effect in the area it was applied. Menthol stimulates the skin’s receptors, which interpret the sensation as a cooling experience.

If you are interested in using menthol to relieve your pain, it is important that you find the right source for pain relief containing menthol. This is because many topical pain relievers use too much menthol, which can actually cause damage and irritation to your skin. The FDA has released statements warning people about products that contain greater than 3% menthol content (1). This is why Real Time Pain Relief is committed to only putting enough Menthol to provide pain relief but NO burning sensation or risk of injury for our customers. Every single one of our Real Time Pain Relief products that contains menthol is made with this standard in mind.

Did you know that many gadgets have been designed with you in mind because hand pain can make too many people struggle with things like buttoning shirts, holding utensils, opening jars, etc? For instance, unlocking a door can be difficult for someone who suffers from hand pain because it takes finger dexterity and strength to hold onto the key and twist. How Does Poor Sleep Affect Rheumatoid Arthritis?

Rheumatoid arthritis can cause sleep problemsRheumatoid Arthritis can make it difficult to get a good night’s rest. When you are in pain, how can you sleep well enough for the body to recuperate and repair itself? Researchers say that RA patients who have trouble sleeping are more likely to suffer from depression, severe pain, and to have trouble performing their daily tasks. It is believed to have this effect because low amounts of sleep cause levels of stress hormones to rise, resulting in bad flare ups. Another factor is that deep sleep causes the body to release growth hormones, which help to mend the little muscle tears that occur throughout the day. Without this deep sleep, pain levels are only intensified.

With all of this being said, it is important for Rheumatoid sufferers to find ways to relieve their pain in order to get the sleep their body needs. Perhaps, there are methods available that could help the body relax and could ease the pain enough for RA patients to drift off into sweet sleep. Some individuals have found yoga or meditation to help with this. Others find relief in the form of topical pain relievers. If you suffer from RA, search for what works best for you!
