D.C. Cherry Blossom - Washington D. C.
The D.C. Cherry Blossom 10 mile race is unique because it’s hosted the first Sunday of each April, which is the same time that the gorgeous cherry blossoms are in bloom (hence the name). Not only do you get to run through beautiful cherry blossoms but there are also historic sites to view on the run as well! Imagine pounding the pavement as you pass the Jefferson Memorial, the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial, Arlington National Cemetery, the Watergate complex, and several others. All of this while surrounded by soft pink flowers gently drifting down in a slight breeze with temperatures averaging between 40 and 50 degrees.
