8. Standing Knee Hugs
The purpose of hugging your knees is to stretch your glutes and your hip muscles. This exercise will also stretch your hamstrings. This will help you to maintain a good posture when you swing.
For this, all you need is enough room to stand
How to do the exercise:
- Stand straight with your arms at your side.
- Lift your right leg off the ground and squat down on your left leg. Remember to keep your back straight.
- Grab your right leg just below the knee and squeeze tightly to your body and at the same time tighten your left glute. Hold for 2 seconds.
- Return to the starting position and then repeat with the other leg.
- Repeat the exercise 6 times for each knee.
Remember to tighten the glute muscle of the leg that you are standing on and to keep your chest up.
