Anti-Inflammatory for Osteoarthritis
Osteoarthritis is a degenerative joint disease involving pain and stiffness in the joints. Research has led us to believe that for those who regularly ingest ginger, they are more likely to experience less pain, especially in the knee, versus those who do not consume ginger regularly. Another study concluded that taking 400 mg of ginger extract 3x a day, worked just as well as taking 500 mg of ibuprofen 4x a day for their Osteoarthritis. Further studies have suggested that massage therapy that use oils containing ginger and orange, seem to reduce short-term stiffness and pain in the knee.
