Can Assist with Weight Loss
A recent study published in 2012 showed that drinking a hot ginger tea/beverage containing 2g of ginger powder after a meal, reduced the feeling of hunger for up to 6 hours. The ginger also seemed to increase the number of calories the participants used to digest the meal. In a study published in 2013, the intake of the ginger extract by the rats demonstrated a significant reduction of weight in lab rats. The rats also showed higher levels of insulin and also leptin, a hormone which is known to regulate appetite.
