Capsicum
Capsicum is derived from the chili pepper and is a product of capsaicin, the ingredient that gives the pepper its spiciness. Capsicum helps to relieve hand pain because it acts on the sensory nerves. The mild irritation that it causes on the skin 'tires' out the nerve cells, which can then no longer transmit pain signals to the brain.[3] Various studies have shown that capsicum is effective for pain management and can be used to safely manage all types of chronic pain.[4] It can give people the relief they need from their pain in order to fall asleep, which results in a greater quality of life for people with chronic pain because they can get the rest they need.
