Le Grizz Ultramarathon (Montana)
A 50 Mile undulating gravel road surrounded by the Southern British Columbia Mountains and Glacier National Park takes runners along the Flathead River. The race begins and ends at the Polebridge Mercantile. The elevation isn’t your enemy here, but running on the gravel for 80% of the course can become tiring. 4 Aid stations are posted along the route and slower runners get an “early bird” chance to start at 6:30 am (a 1-hour head start). The time limit is 12 hours, but if you plan to take longer than 12 hours, runners are required to have a crew with them to monitor their safety.
