Grand Canyon 50 Mile, 50K, & Half Marathon Trail Run (Arizona)
Held in the Kaibab National Forest near the entrance to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, this trail is host to a half-marathon, 50k, and 50-mile race. Participants from all over come here because it is held in one of America’s most beautiful and wondrous attractions. There’s enough elbow room on this part double-track and wide single-track trail, and runners get to take their first look at the majestic canyon at Stina Point. There are also 5 different “viewing spots” or outlooks: Timp Point, North Timp Point, Locust Point, Fence Point, and Parissawampitts Point. In the last 15 miles of the course, the route will take runners up to 2,000ft in elevation, but for the most part, it is just a long trail for those who want to witness one of nature’s most awe-inspiring and massive structures. When you think of trail running, it’s hard to beat the Grand Canyon.
