Staying on the Right Track

staying-on-the-right-track-feet-runningThe foot is a complex mechanism, bearing the brunt of inordinate stress when we run, and, like any machine, it requires regular care and maintenance if it is to continue to function at optimum levels.

Many people take their feet for granted, only paying attention to them when there is a problem, but runners cannot afford this level of complacency. If they are to stay on the right track, they must be aware of the warning signs their feet are sending out, particularly in relation to the rest of their body.

Born to run? Definitely. Running is an inherent part of us as a species, and most of those who do it regularly derive great enjoyment from their sport/hobby. So, look after your feet and your feet will look after you.

Footnote: If you suspect you may have a serious foot problem, see your doctor.
