Bridger Ridge Run (Montana)
In the heat of August, Montanans race along the 20-mile crest of the Bridger Range mountains, 5,000 feet above the town of Bozeman. Inspired and organized in 1985, the Bridger Ridge Run is one of the most exhilarating experiences you can have while running in the outdoors. This course is a very challenging 19.65 miles that will require a lot of precise footwork when it comes to climbing up and descending the mountains. This trail starts at the Sacajawea Peak trailhead by Fairy Lake and continues to the south part of the range. Narrow trail passages and 1,000ft drops on each side of the trail means that this course is not for the faint of heart. However, 250 brave runners get a chance to view Montana’s amazing wilderness and landscape during the Bridger Ridge Run.
