Zenyatta

Zenyatta is one of the fastest racehorses in historyZenyatta, an American raised Thoroughbred, won 19 consecutive races out of 20 and is famous for her closing finishes. She would often give the frontrunners large leads, and then whizz past them on the final stretch. She broke the previous world record for consecutive Grade/Group I Victories. She was inducted into the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame in August of 2010. This horse has become quite popular with appearances in O Magazine and a profile piece on the television show 60 minutes. In 2010, the Daily Racing Form had a strong majority of poll voters place her as the Eclipse Horse of the Year. Thousands of her fans braved the freezing cold temperature of 18 degrees in order to make an appearance at her retirement ceremony.
