Bodacious
Bodacious was not a bull for the faint of heart, in fact, he was one of the most dangerous and feared bulls of his time. Born in Longdale, OK, he was also known as “The World’s Most Dangerous Bull.” Weighing in at an enormous 1900 lbs., Bodacious was known for often injuring riders with his explosive aggression. Sometimes using his head as a weapon, he would buck and throw his head back to attack the rider on top. This move sent rider Tuff Hedeman to the hospital with most of his facial bones broken. In 1995 during the National Finals Rodeo, Bodacious bucked rider Scott Breding in the head, knocking him out while also breaking his nose and bursting his eye sockets. An 8-second ride was nearly impossible to accomplish on this bull. Bodacious is documented for bucking off 127 out of 135 riders. After the two serious accidents, Bodacious was retired from professional bull riding for no other reason than fear for the safety of the riders. Bodacious was inducted into the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame and picked up one more title in his career: “The Greatest Bull to Ever Buck.”
