Rocky Mountain National Park
Like Horseback riding? Enjoy jaw-dropping mountainous scenery? If the answer is yes, then you would enjoy a trail unlike any other on the eastern side of Grand Lake, CO in the Rocky Mountains. The East Inlet Trail offers some of the best horseback riding trails that can be found. You can take in the natural wonder of Adams Falls (and many more waterfalls after that) as you pass through the peacefulness of Lone Pine Lake into the forested shoreline of the scenic lake, Verna. The roaring rivers and wide variety of wildlife are just a part of the wondrous surroundings the Rockies have to offer. You’ll have to round-up the horse at Lake Verna as they are not allowed to pass that point, however, there is plenty to do in the surrounding area that can keep the entire family entertained, anything from nature hikes to Chuck Wagon rides that feature a meal of home cooked Sirloin. Horseback riding in the Rocky Mountains continues to draw-in thousands of enthusiasts every year, but that doesn’t mean you won’t be able to enjoy the solitude that makes up a great portion of the East Inlet Trail. Two of the best horse outfitters in the area are Sombrero Ranches and National Park Gateway Stables.
