Other Foods to Avoid If You Have Fibromyalgia
There are other types of foods that you should try to avoid if you have fibromyalgia.
Avoid Dairy
Many healthy people have trouble digesting lactose that is found in dairy foods. This can also affect you if you have fibromyalgia. It is known that the lactose in dairy products can sometimes trigger Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), which is a common symptom in people who have fibromyalgia.
So, try to eliminate milk and dairy products to see if your fibromyalgia symptoms get better.
However, some fermented milk products like raw yogurt and kefir contain 'good' bacteria which can improve your digestive system and boost your immunity.
Be Careful of Carbs
Many people who have fibromyalgia have symptoms similar to adrenal fatigue and their bodies can have difficulty metabolizing carbohydrates. This can lead to low blood sugar levels and a feeling of being tired and weak.
Try avoiding carbohydrates to see if your symptoms improve.
