Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris
Why wouldn’t you want to run a marathon in the most romantic city in the world? This marathon is coursed strategically for some of the best views, attractions, and areas of the city that will make the common tourist jealous. Run along the banks of the Seine, past the Place de la Bastille, past the Louvre, and finish near the Arc de Triomphe. Runners also get spectacular views of the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame Cathedral. The marathon has been held every year since 1981 and around 40,000 participants attend annually, making it one of the largest in the world. Don’t forget to visit your doctor at least one year before you plan to attend, as the Marathon de Paris requires ALL participants to have a doctor’s note less than a year old to participate in the race.
