Tahoe Rim Trail Endurance Run (Nevada)
Every year in July, the Tahoe Rim Trail Endurance Runs hosts a 50k, 50 miles, and a 100-mile race along this 165-mile trail around the gorgeous, clear waters of Lake Tahoe. The run is averagely challenging, however, 80% of the race is above 8,000ft elevation, so you might want to be prepared for running in high altitudes. The view from the trail is amazing but be prepared to run through the desert, snow, and mountains. As you run along the trail, you may begin to wonder how 21-year-old Kilian Jornet set the record by running all 165 miles of the trail in 38 hours. There are plenty of things to do in the area after the race, including fun for kids and adults.
