Charles Bronson
Born Charles Buchinsky, Mr. Bronson was the archetype for the “good guy gets revenge” in numerous action and Western films. Although he came from an extremely poor background, Charles Bronson was able to make a legendary film career for himself in the 60s, 70s and many decades after that. He got his first successful acting break when he was cast in The Great Escape, but The Magnificent Seven is known by many as one of his best westerns. Bronson flew 25 missions during WWII and was presented a well-earned Purple Heart for receiving wounds during battle. He worked alongside Ronald Reagan and Elvis Presley, but is notorious for starring in high-action Westerns and dramas. Some of his most notable westerns are Apache, Red Sun, and 4 for Texas (co-starring Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra).
