9. Step Stretch

Step Stretch for Foot Health The purpose of the step stretch exercise is to strength the muscles in the sole of the feet. This will help keep you more balanced when walking.

For this you, will need a place where there is a step.

How to do the exercise:

  1. Stand on the step with body facing the step and your heels off the edge.
  2. Gently lower your heels down. Hold for 10 – 15 seconds
  3. Then return your heels to the starting position.
  4. Repeat 5 to 10 times.

This can be carried out 3 times a week. If it is too much to do both feet at the same time, then just do it with one foot. Remember to always have something to hold onto to keep your balance.

Benefits to the feet

This is a good exercise to strengthen the sole of the feet, the ankles and calf muscles. It increases mobility in the feet. It is also useful to prevent injuries.
