Band Extensions
These are simple and only require a thick rubber band. Simply place the band around 2-5 fingers and stretch the fingers outward in reps of 10-20. They make physical therapy bands for this exercise, but you can also use a thick rubber band around ½ inch-1 inch in length. You can even use one of those rubber “Livestrong” bracelets. This strengthens the muscles in each finger and helps to prevent stiffness when grasping onto everyday items. Try placing the band in different positions around different fingers and see what works best for you.
