Hot Feet
Having feet that feel unbearably hot is a common complaint among pregnant women. The increased blood flow that causes swelling is also the culprit that causes the feet to feel hot. Additionally, the hormonal changes can result in a feeling of being overheated and the sensation is often localized in the feet or the hands.
For many women, this is not a constant problem during pregnancy. Usually, they will get the feeling of hot feet at certain times of the day. It is most often experienced at night, making it difficult to get restful sleep.
Unfortunately, there isn’t much that can be done about feet that feel hot. You could try washing your feet to keep them feeling fresh; you could also try placing them in a tub of cool water. If it is causing trouble with your sleep, then you could try placing a cool wet towel over the feet when you sleep.
While feeling a burning sensation in the feet is common during pregnancy, it could also be a sign of nerve damage in the feet. If you are pregnant, then the sensation is probably nothing to worry about, but if you have any concerns, then it might be wise to contact your doctor.
