1. The Ball Roll
The purpose of the ball roll is to work the muscles on the sole of the feet, called the plantar fascia.
For this you will need a small ball, such as a tennis, golf, or lacrosse ball.
How to do the exercise:
- Sit on a chair and place the ball under the sole of your foot.
- Gently roll the ball under the arch of your foot in a back and forth motion between the heel and toes. Work in some gentle circular motions as well.
- Keep rolling for about 2 minutes, then switch to the other foot
This can be carried out daily.
Benefits to the feet
This strengthens the plantar fascia and can help prevent injuries and improve stability. This exercise can also relieve pain if you experience this on the sole of your foot.
