Check Your Feet Every day
Certainly, people living with diabetes are forced to jump through some different hurdles than someone who does not live with it. This being said, the differences need not be difficult or time-consuming. The most basic of these measures consists of daily care and attention to the feet. Simply looking at one’s feet every day is one of the best steps that could be taken to improve and quite possibly prevent infections.
Your daily routine for checking your feet should include looking for signs of redness, blisters, cuts, and swelling. Anything like this could be a sign of underlying conditions that require attention. If you have trouble seeing all areas of the bottom of your feet, try using a handheld mirror to see these hard-to-view areas.
