Using NSAIDs to Endure Pain During Exercise is Harmful
Some believe that taking NSAIDs during exercise will help ease the pain of an existing injury during performance but recent studies beg to differ. In fact, a study performed on runners during the Western States 100 Miler discovered that there was no perceived or actual difference between the runners using Ibuprofen during the race to those who were not. Even though runners may not be in as much pain during a race, consuming these medications raises their risk of further injury.
